Hello folks! Here is the first try at an unofficial website for Ascension. We, our church family, are waiting on the Diocese of MS to get a place for us to produce an official website for our church. We, the vestry, thought having an unofficial site would be nice, too. Here we can post pictures, have a place for different groups to show their news, information, as well as to sound off. Don't worry, we will have an administrator to edit and/or delete any rants that are not appropriate. Gads, censorship in our official unofficial Episcopalinan website; what is the world coming to? Well, we have some pretty smart young people running around here that could play some pretty good pranks on us, so we better have someone to check stuff before it can be posted. In fact, the original producer of this site is suspect, too!

Our official webmaster (when we get an official site), Vance, will be the kingpin of all with some appointed underlings to manage this site. Dave and Billy will probably start sharing responsibility until we get the thing going.

There are a bunch of things we can do here. We don't know what they all are. We are learning as we go. We ask that you be patient with us, give us suggestions and your opinions. As with anything, we are sure to not satisfy everyone. Don't get bent out of shape - let us know when your are unhappy and we'll try mightly to fix it. (I've had occasion to see this happen when we were doing the picture directory for the church - some of you women didn't like your pictures! I couldn't believe it! As you remember, we changed them for you.) Also, if you are website savvy, we'd be happy to take a backseat and let you manage this site; seriously!

So, sign up and join in. As I learn more, I'll tell you how to do stuff if you can't find it on the site and I can figure it out.
